Dawraty Raises $2 Million in Seed Round Supported by Qatar Development Bank
Kuwaiti edtech company Dawraty has secured a $2 million investment from Qatar Development Bank (QDB) in a Seed round, with a valuation of $10 million. The round is still open to additional investors and is expected to close by the end of November 2026. Dawraty was founded by Dr. Ryan Dougherty and Hamad AlThunayan, and operates a bilingual educational platform powered by artificial intelligence, focusing on education in the healthcare sector, professional certifications, and exam preparation. The company relies on a business-to-business (B2B) model and collaborates with universities, medical colleges, and hospitals. Dawraty is currently operating in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan, and has achieved its first contracted institutional revenue in Qatar through a partnership with the Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA). The funding will support Dawraty's regional expansion in health education and professional certifications.
