Singapore to Invest $173 Million in Fintech Innovation Over Next Three Years
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has announced that it will invest S$220 million (approximately $173 million) over the next three years to support the development of fintech and innovation, aiming to maintain its competitive edge in the fintech sector. The initiative will focus on nurturing fintech talent and accelerating the research, application, and implementation of cutting-edge fintech solutions. MAS plans to support at least 1,000 internship positions and prepare the financial industry for the adoption of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence. This initiative aims to enhance the innovation capacity and competitiveness of Singapore's financial sector.
