Kravchenko Rejects Resignation and Expresses Willingness to Answer Questions from the Verkhovna Rada
Ukrainian Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko stated that he does not plan to resign voluntarily and is not clinging to his position. He noted that the decision to dismiss him depends on the president and the Verkhovna Rada. Kravchenko will participate in a meeting of the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada on September 8, where he is ready to answer questions about the situation surrounding the Office of the Prosecutor General. On September 4, the NABU reported a special operation to expose a criminal organization led by an employee of the Prosecutor General's Office. During the searches, Kravchenko, his deputy, and the head of the Odessa police department were detained. On September 5, the NABU uncovered an organization profiting from fraudulent call centers. Kravchenko denies involvement in covering up illegal call centers and laundering money obtained from their activities. He claims that the recorded conversations do not confirm his participation in illegal activities, and the photo of a safe with money is unrelated to him. Kravchenko also emphasized that his family's expenses correspond to the declared income.
