JPMorgan: Yen Strength Eases Pressure on Japanese Bonds, AI and Semiconductor Sectors Recover
JPMorgan's securities strategist in Japan stated that the strengthening yen will alleviate upward pressure on Japanese government bond yields, promoting a recovery in the AI and semiconductor sectors listed in Tokyo. The report noted that the underperforming real estate sector may also benefit. Some industries, such as transportation, logistics, and automotive, face negative impacts on profits due to yen appreciation. JPMorgan's view on the Tokyo AI and semiconductor sectors contrasts with Saxo Bank's global equity perspective, as Saxo strategists previously indicated that the yen rebound could trigger the unwinding of some crowded and leveraged positions.
