The committee was formed under the support of the Hong Kong Virtual Asset Industry Association (HKVAIA), as an industry-leading non-profit organization dedicated to promoting collaboration among regulated financial institutions to develop and promote top-tier Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) standards and practices. The goal is to drive the compliant issuance of stablecoins in Hong Kong and enhance financial integrity in the digital asset ecosystem.
