Bubblemaps: About 80% of LAPTOP Traders Lose Money, Some Losses Reach $1 Million
On its first day of trading on the decentralized exchange, LAPTOP's market value briefly approached $110 billion, before plummeting over 99% to around $0.84. On-chain analytics firm Bubblemaps reported that approximately 80% of traders incurred losses, with two individuals losing between $100,000 and $1 million, about 100 people losing between $10,000 and $100,000, and around 700 individuals losing between $1,000 and $10,000. The LAPTOP team stated that initial market-making liquidity was insufficient, leading to being front-run by sniper bots. They plan to inject 4 million tokens into the Aerodrome pool to incentivize liquidity and will trigger token burns through market event predictions, expecting to burn 1% of the supply in the first week.
