Arc Public Mainnet Launches on September 16, Fees in USDC

By: www.tokenpost.kr|2026/09/10 08:17:40

Circle's blockchain Arc will launch its public mainnet on September 16. Arc uses USD Coin (USDC) as its transaction fee and aims for transaction confirmations within one second, making it a stablecoin-centric network. Currently, Arc is testing use cases with over 100 ecosystem and institutional participants on its unofficial mainnet, and it plans to unveil features related to tokenized assets, payments, foreign exchange, and programmable finance in line with the public mainnet launch. Arc is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and utilizes the Malachite consensus engine. Circle describes Arc as an infrastructure for financial markets, real-time fund movement, and AI agent-based economic activities. The public roster includes BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, ICE, Mastercard, and Visa. Circle raised $222 million based on a fully diluted valuation of approximately $3 billion by May 2026. Arc is designed to use USDC for transaction generation and trading, eliminating the need to secure the network's native token first. The public mainnet represents a stage of expanding integration efforts of institutional and ecosystem participants to external users, with Circle presenting functionalities that connect USDC-based payments, asset tokenization, and market infrastructure for institutions.
