Aptos officially disclosed that 187,800 APT tokens were destroyed in May, permanently removed from the circulating market. Data shows that since the mainnet launch, Aptos has cumulatively destroyed approximately 1.2 million tokens. Currently, its hard supply cap mechanism of 210 million APT has come into effect. Aptos stated that this mechanism is part of its "performance-driven token economic model," aimed at influencing the long-term supply structure and market circulation through a continuous destruction mechanism.
