$140.25 Million in Cryptocurrency Venture Investments in September, PolyMarket Accounts for 79%
In September, cryptocurrency venture investments totaled $140.25 million across 7 deals. The investment rounds conducted from September 1 to 6 accounted for this amount. In August, the total was $1.59305 billion (62 deals), and in July, it was $1.49719 billion (43 deals). The largest round was PolyMarket's $1 billion, which represented 79% of the weekly funding amount. On August 31, investments included PolyMarket ($1 billion), Mobula ($17 million), and GAEA ($3.6 million). On September 1, Felix Pago ($113 million), MemBitcoin ($8 million), and Firelight ($8 million) were included. On September 3, OpenReserve ($25 million) and Diameter Pay ($10 million) were among the investments. The investment activity index over the past 30 days decreased by 29.0% compared to the previous month, recording a 'low' level. A total of 71 investment rounds were counted, which is a 12.7% increase compared to the previous month, with a total investment amount of approximately $12.76915 billion, marking a 353.3% increase from the previous month. The focus of investment is primarily in the API sector, which accounted for the highest share of investments over the past six months at 28.88%.
